Iraq’s Kufa University Hosting Quran Exhibition

IQNA – The second edition of an annual Quran exhibition was launched at the University of Kufa in southern Iraq.

The university has organized the Quranic expo under the supervision of the Najaf Holy Quran Institute affiliated to Astan (custodianship) of the holy shrine of Hazrat Abbas (AS).

It was opened on February 18 and will run for ten days, according to Muhnad al-Miyali, director of the institute.

He said the exhibition includes many Quranic, cultural, intellectual and religious activities, al-Kafeel website reported.

Answering religious questions, offering psychological and religious counseling, and correcting visitors’ mistakes in Quran recitation are among the activities at the exhibition, he noted.

There are also movies screened with the theme of miracles of the Holy Quran, al-Miyali noted.

He said the expo is aimed at promoting the Quranic culture and enhancing the level of the students’ Quranic knowledge.

There has been a growing trend of Quranic programs such as competitions, recitation sessions, exhibitions and educational programs held in the Arab country in recent years.
